Windows Finale or Mac Finale?

When you need to find a specific dialog box (like e. g. Preferences) in Finale, use the online manual’s Search field.

When you have found the relevant section in the manual, you will find info about

{How to get there}

and

{What it does}

Anyway, when you have found {Preferences…}, go to

Preferences - Palettes and Backgrounds

Select the palettes in the Window menu. They will remain open.

I’m using a Mac and I’ll open both palettes and then when I do my next action (some other tool like articulation) those windows close. Is this a bug? There used to be a preference to keep palettes open, but can’t find that in v27

Also, Preferences -> Palettes, uncheck Close subsidiary palettes when leaving tool.

How to get to Preferences:

Finale menu > Preferences…

Keyboard shortcut: Command-comma (as in many other Mac programs).
