 I just downloaded Finale, but don't know how to open the music file on my PC to export it to a MIDI file.  I can see the "Finaledemosetup.exe" file on my PC, but when I double-click on it, it asks if I want to load it on my hard drive, which I've already done.  I also found Finale folder at C:\Program Files\Finale. 

I have a HP TouchSmart ENVY 20 PC with Windows 10.  (The first time I tried to download  Finale tonight, it said that it wouldn't work on my computer.)

I don't know what happened.

Are you running Win 10 in 64bit?

 

Finale 25 will not run in 32bit.

Update:  I was able to open Finale, although I don't know how I did it. 

End of story.

My Finale is the version 8, 32 bits. Recently I have changed my PC to Windows 10, 64 bits.  I´ve installed Finale but the program is frozen and closed. Is it not possible to run this version of Finale in this Operating System? Thank you.

Finale 8 will not run in a 64bit OS. It should be eligible for an upgrade to 25.

Mystery solved!  Somehow, I found out that my score is "Read-only."
