The agent who answered my help request didn't bother to look at my attached files, he just said it worked fine for him, but here is proof, it does not.  "Key Players will expect to see" what does that mean??? Why the Workaround.  I have struggled with this software since 1987 (in one form another since apple IIe version of Wenger Music Writer, arrived at a course of action for my instructional plan for my method, but again, Finale fails to deliver.

You tell that you are “using AlphaNotes”.

What method are you using to get AlphaNotes?

I use the staff style (= Apply Finale AlphaNote Notenames), and it works correctly for me.

One of the Finale Guys had written me in response to an earlier request I made on this issue.  I have found success with alpha notes, but not Solfege as of yet. Staff Styles seems to work at times, especially for AlphaNote Names, but the Solfege Option #26 in 2012 and #21 in vs.26 keeps disappearing.

I am going to try this * in 26 to see if it works and if Make Music will again offer it at a lower price in early June so I can purchase the upgrade and SmartMusic.

Unfortunately I am unable to duplicate your problem.

Both staff styles (= AlphaNote Notenames & AlphaNote Solfege) work correctly for me (in Finale v26) - and they do not disappear.
