Here's what back-to-back repeats look like when exported as EPS.
The only "fix" I can find now is to open the file in Illustrator, rebuild the missing repeat.
Not very elegant.
Gonna fix this?
I thought as much. The most likely cause is that you have old fonts in the system. There is likely nothing for MM to fix.
Try the following:
Delete all Finale fonts from your User folder (if you do Get Info, you should see old build dates for these).
Go to Font Book,app, delete any Finale fonts that are still there.
Go to Applications/Finale/Show System Resources/Contents/Resources. Find all the fonts (.ttf) and double-click to open. Click on Install Font. If you have multiple fonts open, you can click on Install Font once to install all.
Checking Font Book.app, you will now see the latest builds of all your Finale fonts. Check to see if any are missing—if so, repeat the previous step for the missing fonts.
Now see if you still have a problem with EPS.
Hi Mike;
I'll try your suggestion after the holiday.
I use Suitcase Fusion, not Font book, but I think your technique will be the same. I'll just add all the fonts from Finale/Contents/Resources (that's the path on my Mac) to Suitcase after deleting all other versions.
I'll let you know if things work after that.
Thanks, Bill
Whatever works, works. Anyway, I'm pretty sure this is an old vs newer fonts issue. When I had similar issues, I found that Finale was still trying to use fonts from my User folder going back to 1998.
I wouldn't rule out Suitcase Fusion but it appears that Extensis keeps it up to date so that would surprise me if it was the problem. Let's hope it isn't.
