Hello, I'm working of Finale 27 on Win10,

I imported a MIDI orchestration from Cubase to Finale, and worked on it, but the score doesn't shows any text I wrote in Score Manager - File Info like title and composers, neither the time changes (like Moderato, ecc) I putted using the Expression Tools...is there any "visualization" option referred to MIDI values like that or anything like that that make me able to see and edit those values and texts?
Does anyone ever had a problem like that?

Thanks!

… the score doesn't show any text I wrote in ScoreManager - File Info, like title and composer …

You must insert the File Info texts where you need them (e. g. in text block).

Us the Text menu’s Inserts sub-menu:

Text menu > Inserts > …

… changes (like Moderato, etc) I putted using the Expression Tool …

This is probably a matter of expression categories:

Document menu >Category Designer…

Some categories have a Score List.

Examples of categories with a Score List:

Tempo Marks

Tempo Alterations

Rehearsal Marks

Edit the Score List(s), and make sure they are set up to displaying the expressions where you need them (= staves in Score and Parts).

Note that a Score List has separate settings for Score and Parts.

… that make me able to see and edit those values and texts? …

You can view and edit the Text Inserts in

ScoreManager > File Info

To view and edit expressions, look in the Expression Selection.

If you have questions about this, let us know.

THANK YOU so much, I solved the issue with texts with the Text > Inserts.

But I still have problems to open the Category Designer: just for this project when i click on Document > Category Designer... Finale crushes saying this alert message "Finale encountered an error and will shut down"...so I don't have any chance to enter in that menu...in another project I created from zero in Finale, it works...do you know how can I solve this?

UPDATE: solved

I reached the Category Designer opening the Expression Selection and clicking on Edit Categories, indeed the Tempo Marks were disabled both in Score and Parts

THANK YOU SO MUCH

Last question: at this point how I could visualize those values which were inside the MIDI file (and iI hear Finale is reading, like tempo variations)?

Have you tried the MIDI Tool?

By The Way:

Are you sure that what you hear, is coming from the MIDI file, and not from Human Playback?

- Is Human Playback set to None?
