The manuscript texture is a mostly black graphic file. I changed the color of the lyrics to white. However, the hyphens remain black. Is there any way to make the hyphens white?

I don't see a way. Maybe send this in to Tech Support.

Probably not. Dashes/hyphens/underscores etc. are not Text elements in Finale. How they are entered and with which modifiers affect the behavior of the lyrics.

Got it!
Document Options/Lyrics/Hyphens/Uncheck Use Smart Hyphens

(Previous versions of Finale allowed me to do it. I just could not remember how.)
