I've been using Finale NotePad 2012 for about two weeks and I just opened it today, but I couldn't hear anything I was writing.  It's seems like it's playing, because I can't use the interface until I hit pause, but the green line is gone and it doesn't make a sound.  I haven't touched the settings or anything since I last used it.  Also, when I download the file into a .mid it plays just fine.  Does anyone know how to fix this?  Also I'm in windows if that makes a difference.  Thanks -Spencer

Cant hear sound on midi.

Under the MIDI menu, go through the menu items. Some will be checked and others unchecked. Check the Help documentation—it may provide clues.

What computer operating system are you using with Notepad 2012?

What you have to do is go through MIDI setup and select what Output sound will help bring in sound. I recommend choosing the wave length option.
