Hey friends!

Long time viewer, first time poster. First off, thank you to everyone on this board. You have saved me a lot of time and frustrations.

So the problem:

I'm doing a copyist thing for a solo piano piece (attached). When using the cross staff tool, the note heads of the top major 2nd disappear. I have gone bottom to top and vice versa, I also opened a new file and tried it and this also happens. They only disappear when there is a second in the top voice. I've tried it with an interval of a 3rd and a 4th and its fine.

Another weird thing, when i 'undo' it undoes (?) it fine, but if I redo the cross staff hot key to bring it back down to the bottom staff, the noteheads are still gone. Also, when I went to the change notehead tool in special tools, there is no checkbox with the disappeared noteheads. The stems and the accidentals are still there as you can see but the noteheads themselves are gone. I have also tried this without the hot keys and used the dialog box. 

Also, have done redraw screen, the automatic settings in my preferences are all checked, and I have restarted the program a few times.

Any experience with this? I can always hide some rest in the top staff and do stemless notes to make the dyad but want to see first if there is something i'm doing wrong.

I am running on mac big sur 11.6.2 and my finale is 26.3.1.643
