I have been using Finale for more than 20 years.  Today, it decided to start inserting cautionary accidentals in my score.  I have never used thus feature and don't want it,  Searching shows how to remove these (extra work that sometimes fails) but I don't want to see them in the first place.  Any ideas would be welcome.

If I understand you correctly, Finale suddenly “all by itself” inserts cautionary accidentals - right?

 

We probably need more info from you.

- Does it happen in all Finale documents? (= the problem is not document specific)

- Can you provide exact steps to reproduce the problem?

What key sig are you using? You can delete the Cautionary Accidentals plug-in(s) if you never use it or want it.

And I think you need to reset preferences.

It’s not doing it anymore.

 

I don’t think that the plugin would do what I saw.

Every note of a single-pitch triplet was given an accidental.

 

Anyway, sorry to have troubled you.
