Hi all -- those of you still on the ship, so to speak...

I just purchased a new computer, and intend to keep my old one--mainly as a backup until I know everything will work on the new one.

Currently, I have Finale 27 on the old computer and the laptop.

Does MakeMusic continue to limit licensing to two (2) computers, or have they relaxed that restriction?

I intend to keep Finale on the laptop for when I travel, and prefer not to have to deactived/reactivate each time. I think there is [was] a limit to that.

Thank you in advance,
:-)
Vanessa

It can't hurt to ask if they'll give you an extra seat.

I asked for an extra seat many years ago so that I could have it at Home, Church and Laptop. That request was granted and decades later, is still in place.

That said, it is easy to install Finale on multiple computers that one owns by exploiting a weakness in the license manager that I discovered accidentally. No, I'm not going to post how to do it. Although simple, it is a license violation and I'd expect MakeMusic to delete it immediately if I did. Perhaps when Support ends on August 26, I'll post it on some of the other forums. It's easy and there's nothing to hack.
