Hello
Would any kind soul be able to provide a link to the Finale Notepad 2012 installer for Mac, so I can convert .mus files to MusicXML, and open in Dorico?
Thank you in advance!

Hi Peter

That's really kind of you, thank you!

My OS is 11.07.10, so it seems I'm stuck?

Many thanks, again

Indeed it looks like you need a MakeMusic product newer than NotePad 2012.

No promises, but you could try NotePad 2012 in OS 11.07.10 - if you manage to install NotePad 2012 on OS 11.07.10, you may find that some of NotePad’s features do not work.

One can certainly try but it absolutely will not work. You need a Mac old enough to run macOS 10.5–10.9 in order to install NotePad 2012. You can then update the OS to Yosemite and is should still run. 2012 will not run over Sierra or later even if correctly installed over an earlier OS.

Later versions of Finale can open the file, however—even those of us running up to Finale 27 should be able to open your file and export as MusicXML 3.0. You can certainly email a file to me to see if I can convert it.   m i k e (a) h a l l o r a n m u s i c dot c o m
