Windows 10 - Finale 2014

Text input into lyrics dialog box disappears  Here's my procedure;

  1. Open Lyrics on Tool bar.
  2. Selected font and input text.
  3. Select Click assign.
  4. Go to vocal line to start assigning text
  5. Click on the pitch > nothing gets assigned (yes. I'm in the correct layer).
  6. Go back to lyrics input box to highlight the text to input
  7. All text then disappears from the lyrics input window.

This just started happening out of the blue.  Any suggestions?

I have tried to update preferences, etc. to no avail.

This happens on old as well a new documents.

Have you restarted the computer?

Does this happen in all documents, or just this one?

Affirmative: Restarted computer multiple times as well as the software.

It happens in all documents. Newly created or existing (to edit). In fact if it's an existing document and you go to edit the text in the lyrics dialog box, it will erase all the edits you make.

Interface seems to be "stuck" in type-in mode (which works) but if you select click assign mode it erases the text.
