Finale  2012c   Windows 10   Just upgraded from Windows 7 to 10.   (computer crashed)   Now on playback I get a clicking sound in every measure.  Can I get rid of this?

Is this in all documents? Can you isolate it to a particular track?

Do you think this is due to distortion? (Is the sound regular or irregular?) If the problem is due to distortion, increasing the buffer size under Audio options should help.

I am not sure how reliable Finale 2012 is with Win 10.

Not enough information. What kind of ‘clicking sound’?

It makes a big difference whether it’s 4 beats to a 4/4 measure, random with no apparent correlation to anything else or only happens with an event such as a old note or when a certain combination of notes is played.

Yes, I also get clicks and pop like an old record. You remember those LP. Anyway this is the sound that is coming out of my speakers . But Using Export Audio file gives me a good recording.

I have a feeling that it could be memory issues. Buffer size 1024 gets me less pops and clicks. 515 has the same pops and clicks as 1024. Again Memory issues. Having to load instruments form the same hard drive that Finale program is running while running live at the moment seem to be what I'm experiencing. This is just an explanation of what I see. Question Why would Export Audio file gives me a good recording but playing it live Pops and click. I also uninstalled and then reinstall Finale and Aria several timeson win 10  with no change. Also this is coming from Human playback.since I always use it. Without Human play back, the Articulations don't work.

On that note I can't find in finale where i can see the temporary Modified score to see how the Human play back score my composition.

Anyway thank you for your time.
