Finale 25, Windows 10.
A tempo following a fermata will not playback properly. I have set the desired tempo in the expression designer dialogue for the tempo. If I delete the fermata in the preceding bar, the tempo plays correctly. I have tried adding a "hidden" "a tempo" and even set the "a tempo" tempo to the desired metronome mark, and it still does not play properly! This is an infuriating FAULT! Please can you investigate what is going wrong with this? I don't think a professional music notation program ought to produce this sort of fault. I have not changed anything relating to the tempo or the playback, so it should just work normally.
