There used to be a few work-arounds with swinging notes other than eighths in previous finale versions, but none of them seem to be working now for me on v25. I like to try and recreate the sound of notes inégales with the "current" swing setting in human playback and setting it to a value I feel is appropriate. Usually I can do this for sixteenths in 6/8 by changing the tempo to sixth 8ths and displaying as two dotted quarters. Now, though, no matter which time signature I change it to, or no matter how the notes end up being beamed, or any combination, finale will just swing the eighth notes. I have poked around for an answer but a lot of the offered solutions are for older versions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
