Greetings,

I am trying to re-shpw the 3rd staff of a keyboard part in page view. When I arrive at the page when the staff is required, I select the staff tool, but nothing comes up to assist me in defeating the previously set indication to hiding (collapse) that staff for that system. Scroll view confirms that the staff (and any music written on t) is still there, but when I toggle back to page view, Finale is NO HELP whatsoever in indicating a way to bring the staff back into view.

 

I am in Finale 25 (latest update) on a Mac Pro in Sierra.

Thank you for any help on the matter.

Ok,

 

How did you collapse the staff?

  1. Using the Staff Attributes - Force Hide Staff - and collapse
  2. Using the Staff Attributes - Force Hide Staff - In Score Only (Collapse)
  3. Using the Staff Style - [13. Force Hide Staff (Collapse)]

 

In any case, I'm pretty sure you'll have to select and edit the staff in Scroll View to bring it back in Page View.

Yes, using Scroll View is probably part of the solution.

 

For the third option - staff style - beware that the Staff Tool can show staff styles and staff style names (look in the Staff menu).
