Have Allegro 2007 Finale. Simple Entry seems okay for most part. OS High Sierra version 10.13.4. Help!

Version 2007 has lots of compatibility issues with Mac OS X 10.13 High Sierra (since v2007 was developed and released many years before High Sierra).

 

Either downgrade Mac OS, or upgrade to Finale v25.

I would upgrade to Finale v25.

What Peter says.

 

With any version of Finale prior to 25 in Sierra or later, what you see is as good as it gets — if it works at all, that is. Most do not.

 

Likewise, versions older that Finale 25.4.1 will not install in High Sierra.
