Aren't we over due for an update?

MM has so little involvement on these forums that it's difficult to tell if anything is going on up there...

In 2016, MM announced they were no longer sticking to a 2 year release schedule. Since it has not been 2 years since 25, the easy answer is No, we are not overdue.

It would be nice if the issues with high resolution monitors were fixed in 25 — at least before I buy a 5K iMac.

Yes, I'm well aware of that. I'm referring to the incremental updates, as per the conversation over on the "real" Finale forum.

I wonder if the arrival of Dorico has not prompted MM to take a deep look at their basic architecture and where they plan to go in the future with Finale. That might explain the silence and the less frequent maintenance updates.

Ahoy there. Just replaced the hard drive in my MacBook and lost a good deal of data, including the 2012 version of Finale. Am I eligible for the upgraded/updated current version?

As long as your 2012 program was registered, you should be. You can check by logging into your account at finalemusic.com and going to My Account > My Software.

Hmm. Looks like it wasn't registered. Crap. Would the Finale folks not have any record of my purchase?

You will have to contact them. Use the Submit a Request tab at the top of this page.

Ok, is it just 2012 or is there no record of any purchase? Are you looking in the right place? Unless you were on someone else's site or edu license, 2012 shouldn't have worked without you having a MM User account.

You can't get there from here. Log into your account through makemusic.com without zendesk in the url. When you log in, you should be able to see a record of all your purchases. If one was not registered correctly, you may have registered it using a different email. Support can help you reconcile that if 2012 was an individual purchase. My daughter had to go through that and they got her straightened out.

2011 and earlier builds of Finale cannot be downloaded through your account but 2012 can. Notepad is the exception—I can still download NotePad 01 from 2000.
