 Windows 10 / Finale v25

I'll ask my question by means of example ... seems easier.

1) My piece is 6/8 time signature. The first measure is simply a pick-up (6th eighth note). I don't want to have the measure pre-fill with 5 beats of rest.  How can I accomplish this?

2) Same piece in 6/8 timing. I want to have the final bar continue to be in 6/8 timing, but I want it to only have the first 5 beats (don't show the final 8th rest) and have it display the "Fine".  So, how can you hide the final 8th rest?

3) Because the verses of the song appear after the "Fine", and because the verses have an eighth note pickup, this question is similar to #1. In the middle of the piece, I want to hide the first 5 eighth notes and only have the 6th eighth note appear in the score.  The additional complexity is that this special measure appears in the middle of the piece after then "Fine".  How can this be accomplished?

Thanks, everyone, for your help.

To expand on Peter’s correct answer, you use this same method throughout the piece. Simply set the upper screen to show the beats that you want in the measure, while leaving the lower screen showing the full time signature. And make sure that you specify the measure!

For the pickup measure, make sure that you deselect Include In Measure Numbering in Measure Attributes.
