64-bit operating system, x64-based processor, Windows 10 Pro, Finale 25.5.0.290

I am copying a selection from concert pitch voices to a target Finale document, concert pitch voices. After CTRL-C, I CTRL-V to the target staff. The entire selection is a minor third below the original selection. I am creating an orchestration of an older SATB with piano and I wanted to paste the original choral/piano arrangement into the orchestration.

Is the modern tenor clef involved?

My first guess would be that you are copying from a section in a major key signature to a section in a minor key signature.

You can probably - without any problems - change the minor key signature to the parallel major key signature, while telling Finale to Hold Notes to Original Pitches {Chromatically}.

When you have done so, the copying should work - without getting transposed by a third.

Mike Halloran, no tenor clef.

Peter Thomsen, that was it. My original document had been arranged in F major, even though the whole song was in D minor. The new orchestration was set up in D minor. Thanks, you saved me a lot of work!
