for each song I have multiple parts (5 singers, keyboard and voice, string quartet, bass guitar, etc).    each of the individual scores playback fine ... but my complete score (all parts together) gets this error.

would be important to tell you that yesterday I started exporting the total score to audio files so I could burn CD's ... THAT'S WHEN THE PROBLEM STARTED.

I'm 68 and sort of a computer goof .... so the fact I can't playback songs is a real pain in the b-ass.   hope someone can help me.    Steve

I question how come the parts are all 120KB or less, but the full score is 41,531. Something looks odd. Do you have a backup of the full score?

that's got to be part of the problem..... I do NOT have a backup of the full score in Finale .....  however, the problem started when I copied the full scores to an audio file and then pasted that in my C drive ......   the finale files that I have not copied to an audio file work perfectly.????

Is it possible that you overwrote the Finale file with what is essentially the audio file with the wrong extension?

Do you have a printed or PDF of the original Full Score that someone might be able to scan for you? The icon with your files looks like an older version of Finale which would likely still have scanning capability.

You don't copy a score to an audio file. You export the score as an audio file.

What, exactly, did you do? Give us all the steps, please. We may spot a way to reverse what you did.
