As soon as I increase the volume on my "Electric Bass" track from Forte to FF, FFF, etc. a clicking sound simultaneously accompanies each bass note during playback.  Suggestions?

1) Are you using Mac Finale v25?

 

2) In the MIDI/Audio menu, do you have check mark at

Play Finale Through MIDI

or at

Play Finale Through Audio Units

?

You may also be overdriving your speaker

 

 

or have too small a buffer

there were a number of bug fixes and a few improvemets in the 3.1 builds following 25.2. Updating to the current version is a good idea.

Thank you for your comment, Mike.  I do not get the connection between my problem and updating to 3.1.  I have NOT experienced a problem with my 25.2 like this ever before, and I've done a good number of scores.  Can you help me to correct my current version?  What should be a way to troubleshoot the problem?  Thanks,  John

Who said there was one? There were a few features and a number of bug fixes.

Hi John,

 

Can you tell me what exact playback sound you are using for your Electric Bass staff? If you switch to a different sound, do you still get the "click" sound?
