If I re-position a rest using speedy entry and at some point later change the key or change instrument, the rest moves up or down instead of remaining in its centered position. The only work-around for this I have found is to erase the rest and re-enter it. This works, but is tedious if several rests have moved, and if the rest is only subtly moved it is easily missed. There must be a setting somewhere or another approach to moving rests within the speedy entry mode to prevent this. Or is there not?

In Speedy, placing the cursor over a rest and typing * puts the rest in its default position (vertically, in the center of the staff).  Faster than re-entering.

Hi Joe, what you are seeing is most likely expected behavior. If you change the key or transpose a section of music, the notes entered in that area will move staff position based off of this. If you have made manual adjustments to a rest's position, this positioning will change relative to the change of the staff position of the notes in that measure. So if your key change moves the notes in the measure up a fourth, the rest you manually adjusted will also move up a fourth's distance to accommodate for this.

This may not be ideal for all situations but if you had multiple voicing lines in a measure, and you modified the rests to accommodate for these lines, having the relative position of the rests move with a key change would be very useful.
