First, note that 2012 is not supported on Sierra or High Sierra. 

What is the source of the document? Did you create it? Did someone send it to you? Was it from a scan?

First, restart the computer. You could try exporting it as XML, and reimporting it. Or, try copying it to a new doc.

Exporting as XML and thereafter import the XML file again sometimes works for some situations, but not here. The problem is for all new documents created from the program itself. I asked the community because maybe someone knew a workaround. I suppose the solution is an upgrade of Finale.

Since your program is not compatible with your OS, I suspect that’s the case. I’d suggest you download the demo, and try it out.
