As far as I know Finale 26 fills out all staffs automatically. This is usually a good thing but in some cases (e.g. if there are only one or two bars left in a staff) it can look weird.

Is it possible to achive the same effect as the bottom staff in this exeample (see image)?

Not sure about an automatic setting for this, but it is possible to do.

 

Select the Page Layout Tool, right-click the system you want to edit. Enter a positive number into the right-margin field.

Or, with the page layout tool, just drag the end of the system to the left.
