Hi,

I just created a the beginning of a score for soprano recorder and cello.

When launching playback, the recorder's sound is very high and I can't manage to modify it in the mixer (sliding the mixer button for recorder track doesn't have any effect). Neither do I get a result by modifying the mixer directly in the Aria player.

Would somebody have any clue on how to fix this ?

Thanks by advance.

Make sure you are using the Finale Mixer (from the Windows Menu or CTRL+SHIFT+M) rather than the Aria Mixer, which intentionally varies with HP interpretation dynamic markings.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I'm indeed using the Finale Mixer, but anyway even the Aria Mixer is ineffective in this case.

On another forum, English version users say they don't have this problem. Would this be a bug from the french version ?

See this old thread for clues :

The Aria mixer is useless for setting base levels (because it was never designed to do so).

I am not sure about the French Version; it seems unlikely, but you never know. I'd suggest sending your file (or a sample thereof) to MakeMusic support directly using the "Submit a request" link at the top of this page, since if this is a bug in the French version, they would certainly want to know.

Hi Mike,

It is exactly the same issue. I had been advised of this fix on another forum.

Thanks for your help :)
