Hello folks,

I have a request for people that already are using the new finale.

Can someone try the following:

create and input the following new chord: Ab-/G7

Copy and paste from a concert instrument to a transposing instrument such as trumpet or saxophone

Can you please tell me if the G of G7 is transposed when you see the transposed part?

In a Alto saxophone part the chord should be: F-/E7

in older versions of finale everything on the right side of the slash will not get transposed.

I have requested infinite times make music to fix it.

I really hope they did in this version, even though they probably did not...

thanks

F26 won’t run on El Capitan, as far as I know.

Matteo,

I'm using Finale 25 and never have had the problem you describe. I just tried it now on a default file, and it worked correctly. I had a trombone staff and an alto sax staff.

I entered Abm/G into the trombone staff and copied it into the alto sax staff, where it correctly changed it to Fm/E.

Finale's chord tool doesn't handle polychords, so your Abm/G7 has to be entered with a workaround.

How are you creating your polychord?

Hi Jeff

please try the chord that i said, you need to put G7 not only G

if you put G it will transpose,

if you put G7 it will not, anytime you put something more than the note it will not transpose the second part

i just create it in the chord tool, the problem is it will not transpose it

thanks

Thanks Mike,

of course if the chord bug has been fixed i will happily upgrade to both finale and mac os

otherwise i just don't need to spend money on something that is not really improving my experience as i write many polychords, and it is a nightmare in finale.

thx
