Finale 2006 is no longer supported.

Why can't you just email me an activation code??  There's no good reason I shouldn't be able to use software I paid $300 for when it's fully installed already!

Why don't you contact MakeMusic support directly? This is just a user forum.

Mac or Windows? What OS?

If Mac, you cannot register Finale 2011 or earlier in Mac OS 10.11 or later—can’t be done. The license daemon is incompatible. To my knowledge, there is no workaround.

Although Finale 2006 is no longer supported, we do provide assistance with authorization (given this is being used on a compatible system) and account help for all of our customers. However the forum is not the place for this type of support. It turned out that my 2 user accounts had to be merged together by customer support.  Then I could finally see my already-registered software and register the serial number a second time to activate it on a second machine.

Apologies for negative comments regarding tech support, it just seemed I couldn't get proper help at the time, especially with the phone support being gone.  Thanks to everyone who helped, I didn't know that the Submit a request option was the way to go.

Some of us have been through the multiple user accounts issue. Back in the day, it wasn't hard to do—create them, I mean.  You mailed in your order, received a box with your CD and activation code... Until 2012, only updates were available for download.

Mine were easy to merge as I had kept track. My daughter's, on the other hand, was made far worse by the fact that I had been paying for licenses and upgrades but I thought that she had kept count. It took a bit to straighten out a few years ago but now everything's good.

I opened an account to register my products, which are :

- Songwriter 2012

- Finale 2012

I could register SongWriter without any problem. But then i tried to add finale 2012, and i have this message "Not valid for this user". Cna someone send me a link for contact ? 

Actually I secretly hope Mr David Cusick will see this post and answer me xD

The usual issue is that you may have used a different email address when registering. If so, you have another account that needs to be merged.

I have multiple licenses that were once registered to separate accounts. MakeMusic Support was able to consolidate this for me and now all's good.
