Do I need a Garritan folder to use Finale?

I have Finale 2014.5 which I now use mainly to practice difficult vocal music passages. I have been trying to free up storage space on my laptop and have discovered a large folder related to Finale: “Garritan Instruments for Finale” (5.5 GB).

Do I need to keep this Garritan folder on my computer, or can I uninstall/delete it? Are there any other large files/folders that I don't need in order to run Finale?

Only if you wish to use the Garrittan Instruments for Finale. You can also move the GIFF folder to an external but you must point the Aria Player to the new location.

That’s the only large folder that you can just delete and have Finale still work.

Thanks for the information. I don't use the instruments, so I'll delete the folder and lighten my computer by 5.5 GB.
