If I buy Finale (I downloaded the trial version), is some Garritan library included? I own VSL libraries, but maybe the Garritan ones are better adapted?

Yes, Garrittan Instruments for Finale is abbreviated GIFF around here. It’s not included in the Finale demo but your purchase download will install it and the Aria Player that it requires.

GIFF has VIs from a few of the other Garrittan collections, mainly Personal Orchestra (GPO 5). Although purchased Garrittan libraries can be used in other applications, GIFF is restricted to use in Finale.

Every once in awhile, MM will offer specials on Garrittan libraries to Finale owners. I’ve picked up GPO and World Instruments on such offers.

Note that the Aria player and GIFF are a separate install from the Finale app!

Really? That wasn't my experience with 26. Unlike 25 and earlier, a small installer file downloaded, I clicked on it and it ran everything.

Well, they are separate if you already have the demo installed. Authorizing the demo won't add the Aria material.

And at least in some installations (I think in both) even in the full Setup package the addition of the Aria materials requires additional clicks after the Finale program itself is installed.
