I can't input lyrics into the score - there is a weird glitch that keeps overwriting one note - I have to manually click every notched to input a word making things excruciating slow.  Is Finale going out of business?? There are no live people anymore, are they all gone?

We need a lot more information. What version? What OS? Has this always been the case, or is it new? Is it in all documents, or just one? Have you restarted the computer? Have you trashed the preferences?

Zeffin, we are still here. We had sent a response to the case you submitted recently but have not received a response back. If you did not receive this, let me know and we can reach out again.

The questions Mike posted are a great starting point for figuring out the issue, so certainly follow up with those.

I just downloaded the Finale upgrade. I the lyrics do not appear when I type tham into the score. I can type tham in the lyrics window but they do not appear on the score.

What is the problem? ( I use a Mac)

Thanks

Reading the posts above: Yes I restarted my computer. I am trying to enter lyrics in a chart with slash notation. Is it the problem? I have done that before?

Indeed the Slash Notation could be the culprit.

1) In what layer are you entering the lyrics ?

2) In what layer is the Slash Notation ?

3) How is the Slash Notation set up regarding the display of Lyrics ?

(look in the dialog box Alternate Notation)
