Using Windows 10, Finale 2010

The Advanced Tool window is not appearing even when ticked. I can currently only access the Advanced Tools through the Tools menu. This is still happening even after I have uninstalled and removed all the Finale components from the drive and reinstalled the software again. This has never been an issue before.

Have you also rebooted the computer?

Have you also tried deleting the Preferences file?

Yes, I have rebooted the computer. I have deleted all the Finale folder. I could not locate the preferences file in the libraries folder. Is the preference file in the Finale folder as I cannot locate it?

The file is called FINALE.INI and is in your Roaming Profile.

 

 

 

The easiest way there is to start by typing %appdata% and then clicking through the rest of the chain.

(Any other FINALE.INI files on your Windows computer are likely the factory default that will Finale will use to regenerate the prefs in your User folder once you delete or rename the old file, close Finale, (& restart computer,) and re-open Finale..)

I cannot find the .INI file.

 

There is no Make Music folder in the Roaming Folder either (I can see the Garritan folder - that's all). I am on Finale 10 (Windows 10).
