I just upgraded to Finale 26 for Windows (I had an older version for Mac). I opened the Pit Orchestra Template and there seems to be a problem with the time signature. All I see is a rectangle. I'm guessing that it's a "tall time signature," but I don't know.  Can anyone be so kind as to tell me how to make it show correctly?

The template displays correctly for me (in Mac Finale v26.1).

 

Open the document, and go to

Document menu > Document Options > Fonts

In the pop up menu Notation, go to Time (Score).

The font should be set to Engraver Time 60.

 

If the font Engraver Time does not display correctly, you may have to re-install the font.

Thanks for the reply.  Which font are you talking about..the text font?  And there are a number of Engraver fonts.  There's EngraverFontExtras, EngraverFontSet, Engravers MT Expanded, EngraverTextH, EngraverTextNCS,, EngraverTextT, and EngraverTime.

The template Pit Orchestra uses the font Engraver Time for its big time signatures in the score.

The font I am talking about, is Engraver Time.

 

Does the font Engraver Time display correctly on your computer screen ?

It only contains the ten number characters 0 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9

They should look like very narrow digits in Helvetica style.
