I would like to use Strad and Gofriller in Finale v26.  Actually, in the Human Playback Inst. Tech. part shows the names of "Garritan: Stradivari Violin" and "Garritan: Gofriller Cello" but I cannot figure out how to let Finale know the selected instrument is Strad (Gofriller).

Though I successfully introduced Kontakt 5 Player and let it read old Strad (Gofriller) samples, but Finale does not implement the correct technique such as pizzicato/arco change in the score.

Any input will be appreciated.

Sincerely,

Jun Yamamoto

Since these are old libraries, it may be that someone on the Garritan board will have a clue.

Are you on a Mac or Windows?

Thank you, Mike.

I forgot to tell you my environment.

My finale v26 runs on Windows 7.

Hi Jun,

Your libraries were designed to run in Kontakt 2 Player as were all from Garritan back in the days of Finale 2007 etc. I know that there are versions of Kontakt 5 for Windows that can handle 32 bit and 64 bit libraries. Since Garritan: Gofriller Cello never required the full version of Kontakt, it may be a question of finding the right Kontakt Player that lets you do what you need — perhaps 5.1 for XT?

I wish I were more knowledgable on this. The 32/64 bit issue re Kontakt is different on the Mac side where I live. If you haven't posted this to the Garritan board yet, I recommend doing so.

Thank you much for your thoughtful advice.

Sure, I will try the Garritan forum.
