OS: Windows 10 Pro, build 1903 (July 2019 update)

Software: Finale v26.1

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 connected to my network using a wired connection, which is set to be the default system printer.  I have downloaded and installed the latest printer drivers from HP (version 40.12.1161) and the printer seems to work OK from other software.

When I try to print from Finale, the Finale print dialog is missing the checkboxes to choose which part to print.

The print dialog is the same regardless of whether I'm showing the score or a part in Finale.  When I print, I get the entire score.  Is there any way to print just one part at a time?

Truly mystifying. You might try printing to PDF (either by selecting a PDF printer if you have one or by using the Print To File checkbox) and then printing only the parts/pages desired from the PDF file.

It's not what you should be able to do, but if you are pressed for time....

Out of curiosity, what does your Manage Parts panel look like?

Apparently this may be the right page to come to. I am running into a similar problem. I extracted my parts, edited them and saved them. When I went to print them using a PDF program, I wound up with a growing conga line comprised of duplicate edited parts, unedited parts and even the score itself!

Is there something I did wrong? This has never happened before on any of the previous Finale programs … until now.

The issue that you are seeing here is something that we are aware of and can happen when using Microsoft Print to PDF and a few other specific printer drivers. While we do not have a permanent fix for this just yet, there is a work around that will restore the score and parts field back to normal and you do not need to regenerate or create new parts. The link below details the work around.
