I recently reinstalled Finale PrintMusic 2011 because I ran across two *.mus files I created a number of years ago. I get an error when I launch the program: "Unhandled exception caught."

I still use a Mac, so upgrading isn't an option. I'd like to open the *.mus files and print them so I can import them into the Notion.

Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Nothing older than v. 26 is compatible with Mojave. You may need to find someone still running an older version, who can update the files for you. Sorry.

Understood. Once I learned Macs were no longer supported, I figured it was a long shot.

The two files total 16K in size.

If anyone is willing to convert them to PDFs, I would be very appreciative.

It is not that Mac is not supported. Apple upgraded the OS to where older versions of Finale were no longer compatible. If you upgrade to F26, you will be completely compatible with Mojave, and you will be able to open your older files.

How about loading the demo of Finale 26 and using that to open (and convert) the files? From there one can save them as XML files and/or send them through a PDF printer (which I think a Mac includes, right?

Great idea, Adrian. Why don’t I ever think of that?

Ah. I was only looking at PrintMusic (that's what I own), and that's no longer available for the Mac. I will try to grab the demo version of Finale 26.
