Finale 2014.5 on PC. I am submitting a Phd and have several orchestral scores of over a 150 pages each that need to be merged into a single PDF within my thesis. It would be most convenient if I could remove the page numbers so that after merging I could simple just number the whole PDF document in one go. Inserting numbers is easy removing them all is curiously elusive. I can remove one page at a time but this will take HOURS.... Help??

I just tried with a new, multipage doc. I selected and deleted the number and the text frame on page 2, and they all went away. So it looks like you have to do it once on each score, but not on every page.

It sounds like you have originally added a separate page number text block on each and every page.

But with Finale you can add a single page number text block, and tell Finale to display that text block on a Page Range, like e. g. from Page 2 and onwards to the end of the document.

The secret is that you as the text should use the Text Insert item called Page Number.

In that way the same text block will display as ‘2’ on Page 2, as ‘3’ on Page 3, as ‘4’ on Page 4, &c.
