The print dialogue box won't come up in Finale. I am trying to print parts, but unable to do so. I'm using a Mac (Mohave) and version 26 Finale. Any ideas out there? Thanks!

Please specify the steps you've already taken, so that we can rule out things.

Have you e. g.

- tried a computer reboot?

- quitted Finale, and launched it again?

- reset Finale’s Preferences?

Yes, I've done all three. So frustrated! Thanks for trying to help. Any other ideas?

Mark Bergman,

If I understand you correctly, the Print dialog box does not appear at all, right?

Usually the dialog box has just been moved away, and usually it can be fixed by clicking Reset All Preferences.

The next thing to try is a “hard” resetting of the Preferences, by removing the Preferences file:

1) Quit Finale.

2) Remove the Preferences file:

In your User Account, go to the Library folder *) - and open the Preferences folder.

Remove the file com.makemusic.finale.fprf.

3) Launch Finale again.

When launched, Finale will create a new, fresh Preferences file.

*) Unlike the Library folder at the root level (system level), the Library folder in your User Account may be hidden.

To get to the hidden Library folder, hold down Option, and user the Finder’s Go menu.

I had the same problem when I installed Finale26.  Great advice, thanks so much!
