I'm using Finale 26.1 on Mac 10.13.6.

when selecting the source measure then copying and pasting always selecting with 1 clik the destination measure all works well. when the destination measure is selected manually with the mouse (total or partial) does not paste anything

Riccardo Del Prete,

Unfortunately your screen capture recording is looped.

Hence I can not see where it begins/ends.

In the recording I can not see, in what tool you are (Selection Tool perhaps?)

Also, I do not know anything about the Finale document shown in the recording.

- Are we looking at the score, or at a linked part?

- Is this document a multi-staff document, or a single-staff document?

However, I notice that in the recording sometimes the selection is a Stack Selection, and sometimes the selection is not a Stack Selection.

Also (not that it should matter), sometimes you pull down the Edit menu, and sometimes the context menu.

… the video starts when I show the deselected edit filter …

Unfortunately I see Use Filter de-selected in all the menus in your recording.

You tell that the document is the Default Document.

I then assume that the document is a single-staff document, right?

Are we looking at the score, or at the (only) linked part?

One thing you could try (as a test):

Instead of copying the selected and then selecting the target measure, and pasting,

just select the source measure.

Then, hold down Option, and click the target measure.

What happens? Does that work?

the filter is set to all, it is the single staff document default, score. I know I can paste it by holding down option and it works, but I wanted to show that there's a bug

Riccardo Del Prete,

I have the same as you:

Finale 26.1 on Mac 10.13.6

But I am unable to duplicate your issue, and I believe that I followed your steps exactly:

Default Document, enter 4 quarters in the first measure, select the first measure, and Copy.

Then, select the second measure via dragging, and Paste - and the 4 quarters are pasted into the second measure.

Works for me.
