Cannot export to music XML nor can I open music XML preferences. Any time I try to export in 26 it just closes out. 25 seems to work fine

Any suggestions other than working in 25 or earlier?

 

win 10

Finale 2009, 2010,2914,  25, and 26

You might try using the "Submit a request" link to contact MM directly. I have not experienced this with my (Windows) version of v26.

Purely a guess but it could have something to do with the older versions of Finale that you have installed. MusicXML has incorporated Java run times and there may be some confusion going on.

 

Someone else recently had the same issue but never reported back the solution after contacting Support through the Submit a request link at the top of the page.

Some possible corruption in the program. I uninstalled and re-installed and now music XML export works fine.
