A frequently encountered phenomenon is a mid-measure final barline in a score whit a pick-up measure, such that the pick-up measure and the final measure sum up to a full measure. How can I do that in Finale?
Use the Time Signature Tool.
In this example let us say that the time signature is 4/4, with a pickup measure of 1/4, displaying as 4/4.
Hence you need a last measure of 3/4, displaying as 4/4.
For the last measure, set the “real” time signature to 3/4, and set the “display” time signature to 4/4:
