Hello, Please could you advise me on a way to expand a Finale V 26 window across 2 screens, so that I can see both top and bottom of a large orchestral score. It used to work in Finale 2011, but it does not work in my current (updated Mac High Sierra 10.13) set up. (I have a RH screen arranged on top of a LH screen). I have been advised about deselecting "Displays have separate spaces" in Mission Control System Preferences by Finale, but that did not work. Apple also tried clearing something called NVRAM, but that didn't work either. I hope this can be sorted as I am otherwise doomed to use Finale 2011. Please, please help if you can. Thank you, Brian

Brian,

When you uncheck "Displays have separate spaces" in Mission Control, you must log out/in to get the change to activate. You've probably tried that already though...?

I just tried it on my system - MBP (2014) and an Apple 27" display - didn't work until I unchecked that display "spaces" option, then logged out/in.  After restarting Finale - it worked just as it should in extended desktop mode.

If you are arranging your side by side monitors as "over/under" in the monitors control panel - dragging down from the top monitor should expand the Finale window into the other monitor...

I'm using OS 10.14.6 with Finale V26.1.0.484.

As a work around - you could open two windows - one for each monitor - and scroll to the bottom of the page on the second monitor. You would need to click to activate the second window before any editing in that window, however.

Log out/in or reboot as Doug suggests. I have two side monitors and it works fine here.

Many thanks for your prompt reply.
I have done what you suggest, but to no avail. I have even reinstated the “Display spaces” - Restart - then deselected “Display spaces” - restart but the problem persists. I have made a screen shot of the Mission Control box to see if I have things selected which should not be there, but I do not understand what they mean. I have had no help whatsoever from Finale.If you have any further ideas, I would be grateful. Thank you, Brian
