Hello The final software note pad 2011 and 2012 hang stalled since this morning and no longer produce sound On the other hand I can use them to enter music notes Thanks for telling me what to do

With Win10, the first question to ask is, What changed? Win10 updates (especially the automatic ones) have caused a lot of problems with applications in the 3 1/2 years since it was released.

 

The second question to ask: Does it matter? The normal recommendation is to download and reinstall, then reboot. See if you still have a problem.

 

NotePad 2012 for Windows is still available from MakeMusic. Because of this, I would use 2012 on any stations still running 2011. Being free and over 7 years old, official tech support is probably no longer available and was never more than negligible.
