Windows 7, Finale 26 (latest)

Hi all,

So, I decided to do some computer maintenance an Uninstall some previous versions of Finale.
This included v25, and v26.0xxx.

I just happened to notice the generic icon on all of my .musx files, so tried to use the "Open with" option when Right-clicking.
That is when I discovered the MakeMusic folder is still here (C:\Program Files\MakeMusic\Finale\26) but the finale.exe file is missing.

Double-checking the Control Panel "Programs and Features" I see Finale still listed.
At the bottom (properties?) I see "Product version 26.2.1.468, and "Size: 498MB" and links to MakeMusic support.

However, the finale.exe file is not in C:\Program Files\MakeMusic\Finale\26, and it does not work with "Run" and does not appear in a search.

I suppose I could download and reinstall it, but I am concerned I will loose all of my libraries, etc.

Also, in the Control Panel, right-clicking only gives me the option to Uninstall, but not change or repair.

Help?

You can download a fresh copy from your account at MM. You can also save your old libraries, etc., in a new location, before reinstalling.

The program folders still exist, but the application is not there because you uninstalled it.You shouldn't have had to uninstall Finale 26.0.X. If you installed the update to ver. 26, the previous version would not still be on your computer, as updates to the same version do not constitute a separate application—as least as I understand it.

Would you happen to know where to find the download?
I found the Upgrade, but I assume that requires having v26 on the computer to begin with, but which I managed to delete.

Interestingly, when I went to the Control Panel, v26.0x was there, in addition to the latest, as mentioned above,.
That is why I thought they were separate programs.

So, as I asked Mike, do you know where can I get fresh download for the latest v26

When you log into your account, click the My Software tab. You should see your purchase of F26. When you redownload it, you will get the most current version.
