Running Finale 2014.5 on a Windows 10 laptop for work. I'm trying to input one of our ensembles into Finale to import into Smartmusic so our kids can practice along with it at home. In a section of the music, the trumpet parts display with seven flats instead of the more common five sharps. Finale (reasonably) wants to display this with sharps, but I want this to match the music as closely as possible. Been banging my head against the wall on this for a day now, so I'd like to get past this road block so I can keep going. Any suggestions for how to get this figured out so I can proceed?

Go to the Key Signature window, and click until you get to the 7 flats.

Michael Burcham,

Are the Trumpet parts notated in C (= in Concert Pitch)?

Or are they notated in Transposed Pitch?

If the Trumpet parts are in Transposed Pitch, then you need to change the Staff Transposition.

You did not tell, in what transposition the Trumpets are.

In this example I will assume that the Trumpets are in B♭.

This means that the Staff Transposition is - (B♭) Up M2, Add 2 Sharps.

Change the Staff Transposition to this:
