Finale 26.2 (latest version) doesn't open on MacOS Catalina (latest version.) The icon just bounces in the dock and will not open. I have tried the standard steps, including totally clean reinstall/reboot in multiple orders, resetting cache, resetting PRAM/NVRAM, running first aid/disk utility and in safe/recovery modes, all to no avail. Finale tech-support is basically non-existent, and I'm quite unhappy right now as I'm on a deadline. It is unacceptable to sell 600$ software and then not support it. Has anyone else had this issue with versions listed above?

If you are on a deadline and have not done so already, use the "Submit a request" link at the top of this page to contact Finale Support directly. I'm sure they want you to be up and running with their software.

Your situation is not typical.

I'm just butting in, here, and it's none of my damn business, but David, you see he is a new purchaser with a major problem. Why don't you be the good guy by responding to him, rather than making him submit a ticket?

He's upset enough already, without having to tell you something he already told you in his original post.

Actually, David, I did submit a support ticket yesterday. I also called twice today and was basically given the "sure, sure, we'll get back to you." I'm not a new user - I've been a loyal Finale user since '94, so I'm fairly first generation. I've literally spent thousands of dollars on this software, and I'm a big apostle for it in my area (to students, other professionals, etc.) Steps I've taken:

1.) Deleted and re-installed (several times, and in various orders, including reboots, etc.)

2.) I've cleared all caches and plists, etc, associated with Finale/Garritan/Aria.

3.) I've booted into Safe Mode/Recovery Mode, and have run disk repair and disk utility. I've also graphed out what's happening with the task manager.

4.) I've tried to ensure there are zero 32-bit plug-ins being called by Finale as part of the boot process as well.

5.) I've even downloaded 25.5 and the demo, and tried to regress to both - no avail.

Some support from Make Music would be great, please, if anyone is listening. This is NOT good support! It doesn't paint the company in a very positive light.
