I just upgraded to Finale 26 from Finale 25 and now the scores produced in 25 do not play back percussion sounds.

I can of course re-enter them, but surely there is some way of doing this efficiently...? Something to do with libraries maybe?

And why is this happening at all?

Are you using Windows Finale or Mac Finale?

What sound package are you using for your percussion?

Check the Score Manager to see if it needs re-connecting.
