Everything was working great until the most recent upgrade, which no longer has the vocal sounds on playback (no matter what I do to change it) but uses a very faint wind instrument instead. I really hate it, and I can't figure out any way to change it. All my old compositions still play with the vocal sounds, and the settings all look the same. Help!!

Did you reinstall the Garritan sounds? IIRC, that’s a separate install. (Although I don’t use them, so I’ve never installed them.)

I'll see if I can figure out how to do that (as you can tell, I'm not a whiz at this part of the process!) Thanks.

I reinstalled the Aria Player and Garritan instruments, and nothing has changed - old pieces play with voice sounds, new pieces play with instrument sounds, even though voice sounds are selected. Bummer! Thanks, Mike, for trying - I appreciate your input even though it wasn't the solution. Stay safe! Cathy

1. check your midi channels channels.

2. see if you recieve midi commands (settings->note ons should change)

3. check your output channel is it wired properly?

4. check modwheel, it could be turned down

Thanks Tomasz, but I have absolutely no idea how to do any of what you suggest! FYI, I do not have a midi keyboard or plug-in - I'm using my computer only for playback. Thus far, I can't find any difference in sound settings between the compositions which play back with the sounds/voices I want, and the compositions (after the "upgrade") that play back with a very different sound that I can barely hear.
