I think this is a bug that appeared in one of the updates to v.26 because I don't remember this happening before.

When I paste lyrics in the lyrics window (from MS Word or other), it changes the font. Even when I paste in lyrics already formatted with the lyric font I am using.

I know how to mass change the font but this is a step that I did not used to have to take.

Ex. My lyric font is Minion Pro 13. I paste in lyrics in that font and it changes it to Times New Roman.

Mac? Windows? OS? When did you notice this?

Mac OS 10.15.2

Finale 26.2.2.493

I think it happened after my latest update on Finale.

is Minion Pro installed in FontBook.app? If not in Font Book, this is easily fixed. Normally, this is found in Adobe apps.

The font is in FontBook but that's not the problem. Any thing I paste in the lyrics window is changed to a different font.
The one I just tried was changed to Helvetica and the point size changed too.

I didn't say it was; only asked if it was there. If not, that has to be done first. See if the Security and Privacy settings have anything to with your issue.

I never got any errors like the link you posted.

It just changes the font to something else regardless of what font the text is in when pasted.

Did you check the security settings to see if anything hadn’t been allowed?

You did reboot your Mac, yes?

No security issues. I have been through a few weeks of shut down and start-up.

The issue has been there, I just had time today to try and fix it instead of my usual workaround.

I just tried an experiment with the Finale default document.

From Word I had text that was Times 13

When I pasted it in the Lyrics Window, it changed it to Helvetica 13.

The font change does not happen when I copy and paste from Google Docs. HOWEVER, when I use that app, it strips all the returns and spaces between lyric lines.
