Hi Mike, simple answer No! i have spent most of the afternoon trying to find out how you send an item that is not actually on the computer

I am now wondering if this is where scanning comes in,I have have never used this facility so I am at loss how to go about it.Can

we hold fire on this while I spend a bit of time finding out about the "brave" new world of scanning.

Kind regards

Eric, if nothing else, can you take a picture with your phone, and post that?

A "natural+sharp" would presumably be used to cancel a double-sharp and replace it with a regular sharped note later in a measure (or as a cautionary).

Good point, Adrian. I don’t think I have ever needed that!

I am not sure I understand your description.

Is it A) or B) ?

A) You have (perhaps via e-mail) received a Finale document that displays both a natural and a sharp sign before the same note, and now you are trying to get rid of the natural.

B) You have - in paper form - music notation that displays both a natural and a sharp sign before the same note, and now you are trying to reproduce that layout in Finale.

(Good luck configuring the second alternative in Finale, however.)

If I had to, I would probably slip it in as an expression.

The notation (with both F natural and F sharp) can be done as an augmented unison.

If playback is important, de-select playback for the F natural.

However, the notation with both natural and sharp is considered obsolete.

Nowadays the sharp is sufficient.

Hi Guys many thanks for all you input, there seems to be a plethora of options, and I suppose the simple answer would be how does the

piece ( a Bach Fuga ) sound on play back ? I am hoping to include a P.C. of the actual piece,I think for Mike's info.Ooops the file is too big

image uploads are limited to 2 mb this file is 3.22 mb,so what do i do now?

Kind regards

Eric Johnston.

I added the natural sign as an expression. Playback is the same in both cases.
